Routine foot assessments, including circulation, sensation, skin and nail health, with advice or referral to another healthcare professional where appropriate.
Thickened Nail Debridement
Careful reduction of thickened, overgrown or difficult nails to improve comfort, appearance and ease of footwear.
KART Enzymatic Foot Peel
A gentle, non-invasive treatment using professional KART products to soften and remove dead, dry skin. Ideal for rough, dry feet and superficial cracked heels, helping leave the skin smoother, softer and refreshed without harsh filing or foot soaking.
Ingrown Toenail Care
Conservative care for mild ingrown toenails, including careful reduction of the troublesome nail edge and, where appropriate, the use of breathable Copoline nail-fold packing. This can help reduce pressure and discomfort while encouraging the nail to grow away from the surrounding skin.
If there are signs of infection, significant inflammation or a need for specialist treatment or nail surgery, an appropriate referral will be recommended.

Jen Murphy is a qualified Level 4 Foot Health Practitioner with over 25 years’ experience in health and social care.
She is fully insured and Enhanced DBS checked, providing professional mobile foot health care across Southampton and the surrounding areas.
Jen has extensive experience supporting older adults, people living with diabetes, people with mobility difficulties, and adults with autism or additional support needs.
She understands the importance of patience, clear communication and reassurance, and adapts her approach to each client’s individual needs.

As a fully mobile service, Happy Heels brings professional foot health care directly to you. There is no need to travel, arrange transport or wait in a clinic.

Do you provide home visits?
Yes. Happy Heels Mobile Foot Health Care is a fully mobile service, providing professional foot care in the comfort of your own home across Southampton and the surrounding areas.
What happens during my first appointment?
Your first appointment includes a full consultation, medical history, foot assessment and treatment where appropriate. I will explain everything clearly, answer any questions you may have and provide aftercare advice tailored to your individual needs.
Where appropriate, treatment will begin during your first appointment. Some conditions may require more than one visit to achieve the best possible results, and this will always be discussed with you beforehand.
Will my foot problem be treated in one appointment?
Many foot conditions can be treated during your first appointment. However, some conditions may require more than one visit to achieve the best possible outcome.
For example, verrucae, severe hard callus, corns, cracked heels and fungal feet and nail conditions may need a course of treatment, depending on their severity. During your appointment, I will explain my findings, discuss your treatment options and recommend an appropriate treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. Most clients can book directly without a referral. However, if I identify anything that requires further investigation or specialist care, I will advise you to contact your GP or a podiatrist.
Do you treat people with diabetes?
Yes. I welcome clients living with diabetes and provide routine foot health care and diabetic foot checks. If I identify any concerns that require specialist diabetic foot care, I will advise you on the most appropriate next steps.
Do you treat thickened or fungal nails?
Yes. I provide treatment for thickened nails and can offer advice on managing fungal nail infections. Treatment will depend on the condition of your nails, and I will discuss the most appropriate options with you.
Can you treat ingrown toenails?
Yes. I provide conservative treatment for ingrown toenails where appropriate, including careful reduction of the nail and pressure relief. If further medical or surgical treatment is required, I will advise you on the most appropriate referral.
How often should I have routine foot care?
This varies from person to person. Most clients benefit from an appointment every 4 to 6 weeks, although I will recommend a treatment plan based on your individual foot health needs.
How long does an appointment take?
Appointment times vary depending on the treatment required. Most routine appointments take between 30 and 60 minutes, while an initial consultation may take a little longer to allow for assessment and discussion of your foot health needs.
What if you think I need further treatment?
Your health and safety always come first. If I believe you would benefit from further assessment or specialist treatment, I will explain my findings and recommend that you contact your GP, podiatrist or another appropriate healthcare professional.
I'm embarrassed about my feet. Should I still book an appointment?
Absolutely. Many people feel self-conscious about their feet, but there is no need to feel embarrassed. I treat a wide range of common foot conditions every day, and my priority is to help you feel comfortable, respected and at ease throughout your appointment. You will always be treated with kindness, dignity and without judgement.
Is my treatment confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is very important. All personal information and treatment records are kept confidential and managed in accordance with UK data protection legislation. Your information will not be shared without your consent unless required by law, necessary to protect someone from harm, or where there is a safeguarding concern.
Do you offer appointments for care homes or more than one person at the same address?
Yes. I am happy to visit care homes and can also arrange appointments for couples, family members or friends at the same address. Please contact me to discuss your requirements and any applicable multiple-person appointment pricing.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept cash, debit and credit cards, and bank transfers. A £10 booking fee is required to secure your appointment and will be deducted from the final treatment cost. The remaining balance is payable at the end of your appointment.
